    How to use this tool

    1. Upload a PDF. Every page renders as a thumbnail so you can see what you're selecting.
    2. Click thumbnails to select or deselect pages, or type a range like '1-3, 5, 8-10' and click Apply.
    3. Click 'Extract as one PDF' to combine the selected pages into a single new document.
    4. Or click 'Split into separate files' to download a ZIP containing one PDF per selected page.

    About this tool

Pull specific pages out of a PDF, either as one shorter document or as a separate file per page, without uploading anything. Every page renders as a real thumbnail before you choose anything, which is the part most page extractors skip: they ask for page numbers before you have seen what is on them. Click a thumbnail to toggle it, or type a range such as "1-3, 5, 8-10" if you already know which pages you want; both methods can be mixed, since typing a range simply sets the same selection the clicks would. Two outputs are supported because "split a PDF" means two different things depending on the job. Extracting a contract's signature pages, or an invoice's line items, usually wants one combined document. Splitting a scanned batch or a multi-invoice PDF into individual files, one per page, wants a ZIP of separate PDFs instead, which is what the second button produces. Pages are copied with pdf-lib rather than re-rendered, so text stays selectable, fonts stay embedded, and image quality is unchanged. Everything runs locally in your browser: the PDF you upload, which is very often a contract, a bank statement, or a passport scan, is never transmitted anywhere.

    Frequently asked questions

How do I extract specific pages from a PDF?

Upload the PDF, click the thumbnails of the pages you want (or type a range like '1-3, 5'), then click 'Extract as one PDF'. The selected pages download as a single new document, in their original order.

Can I split a PDF into one file per page?

Yes. Select the pages you want, then click 'Split into separate files' instead of the extract button. You get a ZIP file containing one PDF per selected page, named by its original page number.

What format does the page range accept?

Comma-separated page numbers and ranges, for example '1-3, 5, 8-10'. Spaces around commas and dashes don't matter. Anything outside the document's actual page count is ignored rather than causing an error.

Does splitting reduce quality or lose text?

No. Pages are copied across with pdf-lib rather than re-rendered as images, so selectable text, embedded fonts and image resolution all carry through unchanged.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. The thumbnails render locally and the extraction or split happens entirely in your browser. This matters because PDFs people split are usually contracts, bank statements or identity documents.

Why did my PDF fail to open?

The most common reason is password protection. Open the file in a PDF reader, save an unprotected copy, and try again.
