    About this tool

Combine several PDFs into a single document, without uploading anything. Merging comes up constantly and is oddly hard to do without paying for something: attaching a cover letter to a CV, assembling scanned pages that came out as separate files, putting an invoice and its receipts into one submission, or collecting chapters into a single report. This tool loads each PDF in your browser, copies every page across in the order you set, and writes out one new document. Page content, text selection, embedded fonts and image quality all carry through unchanged. Pages are copied, not re-rendered, so nothing is degraded. Because the work is local, there is no upload wait, no file-size cap imposed by a server, and no copy of your document sitting in someone's temporary storage. That matters here more than for most tools: the PDFs people merge are usually contracts, applications, invoices and identity documents. Password-protected PDFs cannot be merged unless the protection allows it. If a file fails, open it, save an unprotected copy, and try again.

    Frequently asked questions

How do I merge PDF files for free?

Upload two or more PDFs above, arrange them in the order you want with the arrow buttons, and click Merge PDFs. The combined file downloads immediately. There is no signup, no watermark and no page limit.

Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?

No. The merge happens entirely inside your browser, so your documents never leave your device. This makes it safe for contracts, invoices, medical records and identity documents.

Can I change the order of the files before merging?

Yes. Each file in the list has up and down arrows. The final document follows the order shown on screen, top to bottom.

    Does merging reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied across intact rather than re-rendered, so text stays selectable, fonts stay embedded and images keep their original resolution.

Is there a limit on file size or number of PDFs?

There is no imposed limit. Because everything happens locally, the practical constraint is your device's memory, so very large documents will be slower on lower-powered machines.

Why does my password-protected PDF fail to merge?

Encrypted PDFs cannot always be read without the password. Open the file in a PDF reader, save an unprotected copy, and merge that instead.
