    Frequently asked questions

How do I change text from uppercase to lowercase?

Paste the text into the input box and every case format is generated at once. Copy the lowercase result, or click Apply next to it to replace your input so you can chain another conversion on top.

What is the difference between title case and sentence case?

Title case capitalises the significant words in a heading, as in 'The Quick Brown Fox'. Sentence case capitalises only the first word, as in 'The quick brown fox'. Headings and article titles usually take title case; body text and most user interface labels take sentence case.

What are camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case for?

They are the naming conventions programmers use where spaces are not allowed. camelCase joins words and capitalises each one after the first, common in JavaScript and Java variables. snake_case joins them with underscores, standard in Python and in SQL column names. kebab-case joins them with hyphens, used for CSS classes and URL slugs.

Can I fix text I typed with caps lock on?

Yes, and that is one of the most common reasons people come here. Paste the shouting text and take the sentence case version, which restores normal capitalisation without you retyping anything.

Does converting case change my punctuation or spacing?

No. Only letter casing changes. Punctuation, line breaks, spacing and any numbers stay exactly as you pasted them, so a converted block can go straight back where it came from.

Is my text sent to a server?

No. Every conversion runs in JavaScript on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, stored or logged.
